Lightpainting Photography: Experimenting with the Pixelstick

Lightpainting photography is an art. The other day I had the opportunity to experiment with the Pixelstick and create some amazing pictures. I recently heard about it from Kickstarter and, being obsessed with any gadgets photo-related, was immediately enthralled by the idea.

The Pixelstick consists of 200 full color RGB LED lights inside the aluminum casing. It can read images from an SD card and displays them one vertical line at a time on the LED lights. Each LED corresponds to a pixel of the image. You can load an SD card with full-color images and use the long exposure settings on your camera to create some truly amazing effects. Below are just some of the possibilities.
