Auto to Manual

Learn your DSLR the creative way and finally feel comfortable using your camera in 4 weeks

Do you struggle with knowing which camera settings to use right at the moment of shooting?

It’s possible to learn how to use your DSLR, get the right settings, and create the photos you’ve been dreaming of

and I’ll show you how each step of the way

Does any of this sound familiar to you?

You want to know how to take AMAZING photos with your camera but you’re still stuck on, which aperture and shutter speed do I use?

You mostly use auto mode, are frustrated with the photos you take, but are unsure how to shoot in full manual mode.

You understand the importance of lighting but have no idea how to use your camera to capture it best, especially in those low light situations.

And you crave knowing how to take those incredible, long exposure night shots.

Sound like you? Then you’re in the right place.

But photography is more than the technical settings

Learning your DSLR can be overwhelming as you try with trial and error to create the photos you want. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Photography is about a point of view and storytelling. How do you do this in a creative way unique only to you?

I’ve created a step-by-step system for you to not only learn the key concepts and functions of your DSLR but to do it while tapping into your creative spark.

You’ll not only have the confidence to shoot with your camera but you’ll finally create photos that connect and tell a story.

Want to learn how to shoot photos like these?

I’ll share the behind-the-scenes with you including the exact camera settings I use to create long exposure night shots just like these

What will you learn in this 4 week course?

Week 1 | Focus + Perspective

You can learn all the tips and tricks on how to use your camera but if you don’t have focus and perspective down first, not much else matters. Have an opinion, a point of view, a story to tell, and develop your photography style.

Have you ever wanted to know my perspective on how and what I shoot? I’ll share how I use storytelling in my photography to create dynamic photos.

We’ll also go over fundamentals of your camera functions. Think of this module as a guided tour to your camera and how to train your eye to “see” the right photos.

Week 2 | Aperture + Shutter Speed

Week two is all about aperture and shutter speed and how they work TOGETHER. We’ll go through plenty examples of my own photography and I’ll even walk you through the settings I use so you can recreate similar effects with your camera. Want to learn how to shoot those long exposure night shots? This is where we cover it!

Week 3 | Lighting and special effects

Lighting is by far the most difficult topic to cover when it comes to photography. In this week’s lessons we’ll go over how to use your camera settings to capture amazing photos even in low light situations. I’ll also show you some fun ways of incorporating light in your photos like lens flares!

Note: We do not go over external flash photography. Those are advanced techniques requiring extra gear. Instead I’ll show you how to make the most of what you have while shooting outdoors on city streets or your hometown.

Have you ever wondered how to use ISO to shoot in low light settings or why the color temperature of your photos are off? That’s where ISO and white balance come along. I’ll show you exactly how these settings affect your photos and give you suggestions to use while shooting.

We’ll also dive into some creative effects and how to bring a special level of creativity to your photography!

Week 4 | Intro to Lenses

Are you wondering what lens to invest in next? After everything you’ve learned in the first 3 weeks, you’ll have a better understanding on the type of lenses you’ll need to create YOUR unique photography style. While I fully believe in making what you have work and starting small, sometimes you really do need a “special” lens to create truly exceptional images.
